The Oculus structure at the World Trade Center Transportation Hub in New York. It opened after nearly 12 years of construction on March 7, 2016. The grand structure was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava at a cost of $4 billion in public money, almost $2 billion over budget. The hub offers connections to the PATH train connecting New York City and New Jersey.
